On June 1, 2016, the market town of Bad Goisern started the leader project “Carrying handicraft into the future” in cooperation with the HAND.WERK.HAUS Salzkammergut.
Craftsmanship, called “Pfochtl” in the World Heritage region, is an important basis for dealing with the landscape and for the work of the population. Crafts are an integral part of our culture and identity. One of the goals of this project is to sharpen and maintain the awareness of the population in this regard.
Handicrafts must become more accessible and tangible again for children, young people and anyone interested. With the help of courses, workshops and events, a wide range of opportunities should be created to discover and appreciate your own craft talents, skills and orientations and thus to carry the factor craft into the future.
