Objective
Sensitization of the pupils to the topic of handicraft

  • as opposed to industry
  • as a creator of regional jobs, added value and identity
  • as a possible training path with future prospects
  • Lend a hand yourself and on this way possible gifts and talents
    and discover preferences
  • Take home-made items with you


Target groups

Pupils from 8 to 19 years of age; Focus on compulsory school age;
Reading skills required

Programme

1. Theory

  • Joint development of the thematic complex of handicrafts (role Hand.Werk.Haus, craft trades, craft in the vicinity of the students, differences between craft and industry, possible training worlds for the students)
  • Developing the visible craft in the Hand.Werk.Haus (objects, material and services + corresponding job titles, written down and joint assignment based on moderation cards)

2. Practice

  • Simple metal processing (sheet metal and wire) to take away
  • Easy woodworking (carving, key chain)

The amount includes material costs and support for the practical part by 2 professionals

Package II: Theory

Objective

Programme

  • Joint development of the thematic complex of handicrafts (role Hand.Werk.Haus, craft trades, craft in the vicinity of the students, differences between craft and industry, possible training worlds for the students)
  • Developing the visible craft in the Hand.Werk.Haus (objects, material and services + corresponding job titles, written down and joint assignment based on moderation cards)
  • Building on the preparation of the role play: add worksheets to what has already been worked out and prepare role plays for the professional groups
    Independent work of the students in groups
  • Role play: Pupils present what they have learned from the craftsmen's point of view
  • Craft film (if there is enough time)
  • Happy conclusion with first manual "steps" with nailing, planing, hand drilling, at the carving bench (only in the presence of the lecturer)
